Sounds similar to one of the screensavers on OS X Leopard which chooses a picture in the iPhoto library and builds a mosaic of it from other pics in the iPhoto library, then zooms into the mosaic all the way to one pic, which itself is built of a mosaic from other pics in the library, and so on. Your site could be a way to bring a similar experience to the web for everyone. This is the first place I've seen Seadragon used, so that's fun, too. Looking forward to seeing how this works out. Just a quick suggestion: on the page with the viewer, put a doctype in there (e.g. XHTML transitional) so that IE renders it in standards mode.
